THU, MAY 25, 2017 - Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said Wednesday that Gomez (hamstring) is running at about 60 percent and has resumed throwing and hitting in the batting cage, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Gomez is progressing about as well as the Rangers had hoped, but it hasn't prompted the team to alter the 4-to-6-week recovery timetable that was initially outlined for the outfielder after he suffered the strained right hamstring May 14. Don't expect him to come off the disabled list until mid June at the earliest.
